OUR MISSION

It shall be the policy of the Association in all it's endeavors to contribute to the growth and influence of the Democratic Party, to develop leadership, to increase party responsibility and to promote and maintain harmony within the Party.

SOME PARTY HISTORY
Over two hundred years ago, our Party's founders decided that wealth and social status were not an entitlement to rule.  They believed that wisdom and compassion could be found within every individual and a stable government must be built upon a broad popular base.

THE DEMOCRATIC VISION

The Democratic Party is committed to keeping our nation safe and expanding opportunity for every American.  That commitment is reflected in an agenda that emphasizes the security of our nation, strong economic growth, affordable health care for all Americans, retirement security, honest government and civil rights.

PARTY PLATFORM

The Democratic Party has a long and proud history of representing and protecting the interests of working Americans and guaranteeing personal liberties for all.  One of the places we articulate our beliefs is in the Party's National Platform, adopted every four years by the Delegates at the National Convention.

CHARTER AND BYLAWS

The Charter and Bylaws is the constitution of the Democratic Party.  It outlines the structure of Party organization, and relationship among the National Convention, the National Committee, and other Party Organizations.  The Charter and Bylaws was last amended by the Democratic National Committee at it's December 5, 2005 meetings."The Democratic Party" link can be found on our LINKS tab and clicking on democrats.org.  At that site, clicking on "Charter and Bylaws" will show the full twenty-six page document.  You will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to fully open this.
