Fredonia-Pomfret Democratic Association

 ROBERTA VALENTINE

Roberta has been a resident of the Town of Pomfret for thirty plus years.  She served fifteen years on the Pomfret Town Board as Councilwoman and ten years as Deputy Supervisor.  She is in her first term as Town Clerk.

She is a member of the NYS Association of Towns, The Chautauqua County Clerk's Association-serving as Secretay and the NYS Clerk's Association.

"My past experience on the Town Board has given me an advantage to serving the residents of the Village of Fredonia and the Town of Pomfret.  I have the knowledge of how the Town's operations of business should be run and how services need to be delivered.  I served on the Town Board because I wanted to give something back to the community in which I live.  I always felt that the people should receive the best services for their tax dollars.  I strove to do that.  I always enjoyed my public service, listening to all my constituents and their concerns.  The Town Clerk's office is open daily and through the lunch hour to better serve the needs of the people of the Village and the Town.  My experiences in the Clerk's position has been very positive.  It has been very satisfying and rewarding to be able to serve and assist the residents.  My goal is to continue this positive atmosphere in this office and continue to strive to deliver the best services possible to all the residents.  I will continue to keep the Office of Clerk functional and upgraded to best accommodate the people of the Town."
