Democrats in the Quiet Corner gathered for the annual Quiet Corner Democrats Christmas Party in Pomfret. Members of the Town Committee and others from the local area were in attendance to celebrate and ring in the new year. Also in attendance were numerous candidates exploring a run for statewide office.
State Representative Pat Boyd thanked everyone for coming out and helping raise money for local Democratic candidates. Citing the 2018 elections, Boyd said it was important for local Democrats to stay active and stay involved.
Secretary of the State Denise Merrill also came and spoke to the crowd. She thanked everyone for their commitment to electing Democrats up and down the ballot.
